How do I get Crosshair X to work?

The following are the most common reasons Crosshair X is not working or showing up in your game.

Most Common Solution - You need to enable the Game Bar Extension

To get Crosshair X to work in Exclusive Fullscreen games you need to enable the Crosshair X Extension widget in the Xbox Game Bar. Go to the ‘Exclusive Fullscreen’ tab of the app for instructions on how to set up the Game Bar extension.

Your game is using Vulkan

The Crosshair X Game Bar extension only supports DirectX. Change the game settings to use DirectX instead of Vulkan in graphics settings or play the game in Windowed Fullscreen / Borderless mode. Common games that use Vulkan by default are Red Dead Redemption 2 and Rainbow Six Seige.

Your Crosshair is hidden

If the Crosshair was visible at one point and suddenly disappeared, theres a chance you toggled some of the in-app features that will hide the Crosshair. Here's a few things to look out for:

Make sure the position offset in the 'Position / Toggle' page is not greater than 150 in either direction.
ALT + SHIFT + Z is the default shortcut to hide/show the crosshair. Check the 'Position / Toggle' page to see if the Crosshair is hidden.
