Troubleshooting tips for Game Bar

The following are the most common solutions to any problems experienced with the Crosshair X Extension on the Xbox Game Bar. If you are facing any of the listed issues, try the steps listed below.

Can't find Crosshair X Extension

If you're having issues installing or running the Game Bar extension, here are the top solutions:

1
Update Windows 10/11, the Microsoft Store app, and the Game Bar app in the Microsoft Store.
2
Make sure Xbox Game Bar is enabled on Windows 10. This can be found in Settings > Gaming > Xbox Game Bar on Windows 10.

Note: One of these usually solve the problem. If you're still having issues, please contact us through the 'Support' page in the app.

Mouse is not clicking/working

To fix this just press Win + G twice to show the game bar and immediately hide it. This is a known bug with the game bar platform and happens when the widget is left pinned during start up. Microsoft has promised to fix this issue in upcoming updates so make sure you are always running the latest version of game bar.

Crosshair disappears in game even with the game bar extension

1
If the game you're playing is using the Vulkan API, please switch to DirectX.
2
If your monitor is in HDR mode, you might have to switch to non-HDR.
