How do I use a custom image as my crosshair?
You can use your own image (like a PNG) as a crosshair in Crosshair X. In the current interface the option lives inside the Designer's layer tools.
Add a custom image

Open Crosshair X and go to the Designer page.

Click the Layer tab.

Click the Image button, then select your image file.
Want it to animate?
Imported images (and hand-drawn layers) behave like pixel images and can't be animated. If you want part of your crosshair to animate, build that piece with the Crosshair layer type instead — those layers are vector-based (SVG) and support animation.
