Life with a duck

A desk buddy that notices you.

It reacts to what you do, gets up to its own little routines, and is always up for a pet.

Reacts to everything

It bounces with every keystroke, follows your cursor with its eyes, and dozes off when you step away.

Little things to discover

It reads a book, juggles a ball, plays with its toys and sneezes at the worst moment. Stick around and you will catch new ones.

Perches on your windows

It hops up onto the window you are using, hangs out on top, and climbs down when you close it.

Made for fidgeting

Pet it, pick it up, fling it across the screen. It always pops back up. Try the one at the top of this page.

Dress it up

120+ cosmetics to collect.

Hats, faces, skins and pets, all real items in your Steam inventory.

  • Earn gifts as you play, a new one every 30 minutes
  • Six rarities, from Common to Exotic
  • Trade with friends on Steam

Focus tools if you want it

See where your day went.

All off until you turn them on. The duck is a duck first.

A summary of your day

How long you focused, your breaks, and a timeline of where the time went.

Website blocking

Open a site you blocked and the duck stomps it shut.

Focus sessions

Start a Pomodoro and the duck settles in with a book. Your focus score climbs while you work and dips when you drift.

Stay on task

Keep your tasks next to the duck, tick them off as you go, and it can remind you about them later.

And more.

Minigames

Keep Up.

Tap Space as the ball lands and the duck heads it back up. It speeds up as you go. Miss once and it is over.

Beat your best, then beat your friends on the Steam leaderboard.

Bring friends

Have a party of up to 4.

Invite Steam friends and their ducks show up on your screen. Watch them type, swap messages and emotes, and focus together.

It stays on your machine.

What the duck learns about your day lives in a file on your computer. It notices that you type, never what you type, and app tracking is off until you turn it on.

System requirements

Light enough to leave running all day. The duck draws itself as a transparent overlay on your desktop.
