Using Crosshair X in Sea of Thieves

Sea of Thieves ships with a tiny white default crosshair that vanishes against bright water and pale sails, the #1 reason its hipfire feels imprecise. Crosshair X lets you overlay a bold, high-contrast reticle on top of the game without modifying any files. It is anti-cheat safe and you will not get banned.

Crosshair X is safe in Sea of Thieves

Crosshair X runs entirely outside Sea of Thieves, it never reads or writes to the game's process, memory, or files. The overlay is rendered through Microsoft's own Xbox Game Bar, which is the same overlay layer SoT itself uses for Xbox Live. Rare's EasyAntiCheat integration treats the Game Bar as a trusted system service, so the overlay is invisible to anti-cheat while still being visible to you.

How to Set Up

1
Make sure your version of Windows 10 or 11, the Microsoft Store app, and the Xbox Game Bar are fully up to date.
3
Setup the Game Bar Extension by following the in-app tutorial under the ‘Exclusive Fullscreen’ tab. Sea of Thieves can run in exclusive fullscreen by default, the extension is what makes the overlay visible at that mode.
4
Pick a design from the library. Popular Sea of Thieves choices are a bright orange or cyan dot at low opacity, they read against both dark hull wood and bright sky/water without obscuring the long-range shooting reticle.
